At Nanjiang University of Martial Arts, there is an unassuming academic counselor named Ning An. Only thirty years old, he is already a peak second-grade martial artist, with a secret spanning lifetimes: he was born into this high-risk world where strength reigns supreme. Faced with challenge after challenge, Ning An consoles himself with the saying, "I'm better off than some, but worse off than others," finding a measure of inner peace amid life's fleeting days. Though married and living far from his wife and daughter, he has never stopped longing for home.
Just as Ning An thinks he will spend his life in quiet contentment, fate takes an unexpected turn on his thirtieth birthday. A mysterious electronic voice announces the activation of the Superpower Refresh System, which grants him one cheat ability for a limited time each month. This sudden change seems to tell Ning An that even at the halfway point of life, there's still a chance to turn things around.
And so, the counselor who was once content with an ordinary life decides to stop lying flat and accepting the script life has laid out for him. He begins using the superpowers granted by the System to make rapid progress on the path of martial arts, with each refresh serving as a stepping stone toward a higher realm. From campus to the martial world, from personal honor and disgrace to the fate of his country, Ning An gradually transforms amid challenges and opportunities, determined to fight for a brighter future for himself and his family.
The writing is really good, but a little lacking.
Not bad, there are still some shortcomings What's going on?
