In the shadows of Huicheng, two brilliant minds with very different personalities find their fates intertwined by a series of cases. Dan Qing, a cool-headed and perceptive professor of criminal psychology, has made a name for himself in academia with his unique insight and calm analytical skills. Chi Yu, a passionate and steadfast forensic pathologist, is making a name for himself in law enforcement with his relentless pursuit of the mysteries of life and death.
At university, Dan Qing’s cool composure and Chi Yu’s vibrant warmth drew them to each other, and they formed a deep emotional bond. But Dan Qing’s dream of studying abroad and Chi Yu’s academic responsibilities forced them onto different paths.
Years later, both have achieved great success in their fields. Yet deep down, their longing for each other has never faded. As if fate were playing a joke on them, they meet again in the major crimes unit of the Huicheng police department. Dan Qing is a consultant, and Chi Yu is a forensic pathologist. Together, they solve one complicated case after another. Can they mend their broken relationship?
After listening to 1/4 of the book, the author's writing is very delicate, but the case is relatively simple, and the emotional line has only been mentioned in one or two sentences so far. On the contrary, the details of the two protagonists' dressing movements and cooking are too detailed. It's not that the details are not good, but it feels a bit too cumbersome. I think it can be improved, and the case can be more rigorous and complex.
It must be a five-star review ~ great 😘
