A Farmer's Path to Immortality

In 2048, as the world struggled to repel an invasion by seven planets, the International Alliance of Five Powers immediately decided to launch the “Stellar Peacekeeping Plan.” The four great cultivation families of Huaxia founded the “Peacekeeping Cultivation Academy” and began searching the country for people with spiritual roots.

Lin Yuwen dropped out of junior high and spent more than a decade farming at home. He married a university student from a neighboring village and expected to live out an ordinary, peaceful life. Little did he know he had exceptional spiritual roots. After careful thought, he joined the Peacekeeping Cultivation Academy.

Yet the moment he joined the academy, his long life was fated to be full of misfortune: murder and imprisonment, his family slain, enemies striking from the shadows…

What does it mean to cultivate immortality? What makes someone an immortal?

To roam the four seas in spirit, free and unrestrained.

To master profound techniques and pursue the supreme Dao.

To find peace in heaven and earth, with no desires or demands.

None of these, as far as Lin Yuwen is concerned!

To have plenty to eat and wear, loving parents and filial children, a harmonious family, and no illness or disaster: that’s immortality!

To work at sunrise and rest at sunset, hand in hand with your beloved until your hair turns white: that’s immortality!
