State Power Structure and Operating Mechanism in the Ming Dynasty

This book is a classic work on the history of the political system of the Ming Dynasty. It is based on the basic characteristics and formation path of the ancient Chinese state system. It takes the internal structure and operating rules of state power in the Ming Dynasty as an entry point and outlines the huge state machinery of the Ming Dynasty that had checks and balances at every level from the central to the local level, from the emperor to the gentry.
