Yan Liang woke from a stabbing pain to find himself in an unfamiliar place. A desolate desert stretched before him, endless yellow sand beneath a dazzling sun hanging high in the sky.
His mind was a muddle. He could only vaguely recall a few scattered fragments: he seemed to remember sitting at his computer, writing a tomb-raiding novel. Outside the window, rain was pouring down in sheets, the wind howled, and the storm grew fiercer by the minute. Then came thunder, each crash louder than the last. In his panic, Yan Liang accidentally caught the mouse cable and knocked over a cup. Half a cup of water spilled all over the keyboard, which crackled and sparked. Then the room went pitch-black. A power outage?! Damn it, why did the power have to go out now of all times? He hadn’t even had a chance to save a backup, and half a night’s work was wasted! His mind instantly went blank.
Had I fucking transmigrated?! How could such a ridiculous plot actually happen to me?!
