(Tsundere Princess vs. Devoted General)
In her previous life, Song Wutong was the most honored Sixth Princess of the Song Kingdom, yet she fell in love with Ye Lin, a hostage sent by the Ye Kingdom. She cast aside her dignity as a princess and spent her days chasing after him. The deep love she gave him was repaid when he personally led tens of thousands of elite soldiers to attack the Song Kingdom. The once-revered Sixth Princess met a wretched end, leaping from the city tower with the skull of the Song ruler in her arms.
Reborn in a new life, Song Wutong swore that this time she would not only take revenge on Ye Lin, but also make the Ye Kingdom pay for what it had done in her past life.
But she never expected that her new life would be about far more than revenge. One mystery after another came to light. From the moment Song Wutong was reborn, this life had become utterly different from the last.
(The heroine will become empress later on. The hero is devoted and will do anything for her. His motto: mission accomplished, no matter what!)
The story has several prominent side couples. The focus is on the heroine's career, with romance as a secondary storyline.
