Ten Hardworking Days: A Love Taken by Force

1vN, including friendship-focused relationships + self-indulgent romance + plot + a chaotic mix of pairings + tragic love + redemption arcs + melodrama

A passion project written for love. There’s no omniscient perspective, but it’s made with care and meant to make up for a few regrets.

Warning ⚠️

This is a sequel to Unforgettable Melancholy.

1. Many personal interpretations, lots of romance, and a female-oriented story. Zhao Yibo, Wang Yiheng, and Lu Zhuo will have fewer appearances in this one.

The focus is on the others.

Yu Li joins a variety show and puts on a cheerful, outgoing persona. But before she and her coworkers have even had much time to bond, she suddenly notices that everyone is looking at her differently?

The once-arrogant young men have shed their awkwardness. Whenever they’re around her, they blush and stammer out that they like her.

She can’t tell when her best friend Zhuo Yuan’s gaze began to change. He watches her from afar, quietly, always keeping his distance.

He’s waiting for his chance.

Li Hao has always been the most clear-headed. He understands the distance between them and is willing to step back. But when he sees someone else with her, he can’t help feeling jealous. He resolutely joins Li Gengyun’s side and keeps her tightly locked in their embrace.

“They’re all being so irrational.”

That’s what Zhao Xiaotong says. But in the end, he’s the one who falls the deepest, and, ironically, he’s also the most timid.
