After I Went to Fetch the Scriptures, My Husband Got Together with Chang’e

I am a Teng Snake spirit.

To help my entire clan attain immortal status sooner, I endured countless trials and journeyed west to obtain the true scriptures.

I returned, overjoyed, only to find an immortal maiden, pregnant and lying on the bed in my cave dwelling.

And my husband was washing her feet.

Seeing me gaping in disbelief, my husband even snapped at me:

“What are you standing around for? Don’t upset Immortal Maiden Chang’e and her unborn child. Hurry up and bring her some tea!”

“And I’m divorcing you. Get out.”

With the true scriptures in hand, I divorced him without a backward glance.

Before long, my husband, who had longed to become an immortal, went mad.
