On the Run with Lucifer

[Devoted, forward bottom + slow-witted, gentle top]

[Supernatural disaster + apocalypse + special abilities + growing male lead + one-way empathy + male-male leads]

In 2168, humanity's excessive mining caused a dangerous substance known as “Damu Asmotas” to erupt from deep beneath the surface of Lanxing. Ai Wei, a 17-year-old high school student, immediately volunteered for human enhancement. During a sweep-and-clear mission, he met a man who was out of touch with society and took him in.

Later, they were attacked by monsters from the Damu. After a prophetic dream, Ai Wei learned that he would become a Special-Class subject and be hunted down as a living blood bank for those seeking to awaken their abilities. To stop the vision from coming true, he had no choice but to fight his way through the escape...

Lucifer wasn't born incomplete. He touched the mechanical wing on his right shoulder. Each time he did, it seemed to leave something rippling behind...

Ai Wei gathered his courage. “I think I've fallen for you.”

Lucifer turned him down. “I'm sorry. There shouldn't be any other feelings between us.”

Ai Wei gave up hope completely.

It was as if an invisible hand had gently caressed Lucifer's cheek. The softness and warmth left behind felt like an illusion.

But there was no one around.
