I Risked My Life to Compete, and Now the Truth Is Out: I'm the God of Sports

Lin Fei was reborn as a cancer patient, afflicted with four kinds of cancer: bone cancer, blood cancer, pancreatic cancer, and malignant melanoma. Each one was terminal and incurable, leaving him only a year to live.

Fortunately, there was still a way forward. Lin Fei obtained a System that made him compete for his life. As long as he kept entering competitions and winning honors for himself and his country, he could exchange them for cancer drugs and extend his life.

To stay alive, Lin Fei had no choice but to compete with his life on the line. And so, an all-around sports superstar was born.

He was the king of track and field, defeating Bolt and winning every sprint title at the Rio Olympics.

He entered the NBA draft and was picked by the Lakers. He led the Los Angeles Lakers to a championship and built a new Lakers dynasty.

He was the Flying Fish God of the swimming world, taking on the American swim team single-handedly and sweeping every swimming title at the Olympics.

He also led the Sea Cucumber team to the World Cup, carrying them into the quarterfinals on his own and creating a legendary chapter in the history of Chinese soccer.

Through his own efforts, Lin Fei won countless honors for China. His fans, however, had no idea he was a cancer patient. The truth about his four cancers was only revealed after he collapsed, coughing up blood and losing consciousness at the Tokyo Olympics. Fans across the country broke down in tears when they learned the truth.

Fans: “Lin Fei, please retire. You've already won so many honors for our country. We just want you to stay alive.”

Retire?

If I retire, I really won't be able to stay alive!

Lin Fei: “I announce that I will continue competing in the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics and the 2024 Paris Olympics. I want to keep bringing glory to my country and giving it everything I've got!”
