I went to my daughter's school for a parent-teacher meeting. Halfway through, a security guard came in.
“Whose luxury car is this? It's blocking the road. Could you move it, please?”
I looked at the photo the guard had taken and realized it was the gift my husband had bought me last month.
Thinking my husband had come to the meeting too, I stood up.
“That's our car. I'll ask someone to move it right away. Sorry for the trouble.”
But to my surprise, the mother of one of the students suddenly jumped up and pointed at me.
“Who do you think you are, claiming other people's things? I'm the one who drove that car to school. I can't believe someone could be this vain.”
I took another careful look at the license plate and patiently asked if she might have mistaken it for hers.
The other woman flew into a rage. She fished the luxury car's key out of her bag and showed it to everyone.
She even sneered at me. “My husband had this car custom-made for me for tens of millions. It's the only one in the world. It's not some piece of junk you rented from a car rental shop.”
Looking at the car's original key, I fell into thought. Then I saw the villa location she'd posted and immediately called my husband.
“How dare you keep a mistress behind my back?”
