This is a story from another world. This is a story.
In ancient times, the gods left the world six bloodlines of divine clans: the Chongyu, Danyu, Qishou, Longlin, Hujing, and Hejing clans. These clans served as the gods’ eyes, their “armies” left behind in the mortal world. The gods had them help the world develop, while also using them to control its development. As time passed, each of the six clans built up its own power, allowing future generations to carry on their mission while becoming part of the world around them.
From the moment life begins, the countdown starts. Gods and mortals alike are merely travelers on a journey whose end is unknown. The unknown gives people more to hope and wish for, yet the position of Chongyu clan leader is one whose occupant, once appointed, can watch their own life being stripped away bit by bit. It seems even the gods cannot tolerate this lofty position: they grant it power, then rob its holder of time. Such is fate. Even the descendants of gods are no more than ants struggling to survive within the rules.
Times change, and fate enters a new round of choices. This time, the new leader’s origins are clearly more complicated, waiting to be unraveled thread by thread and revealed layer by layer.
