Thirty-Six Ways the Snake Lord’s Little Fox Tames Him

One day, the little fox bashfully said to a certain snake, “The storybooks say that after a wedding ceremony, you become husband and wife. I married you, and you came into my family. So I should call you ‘wife.’”

The snake raised an eyebrow. “Did we have a wedding ceremony?”

The little fox’s ears drooped. “No.”

“Then did I come into your family?”

Even the little fox’s nine tails drooped. “N-no...”

“Right, so you shouldn’t call me that.”

The little fox grew flustered. “But! But!”

“Right, so we should do things my way. Come on, let me hear you call me ‘husband.’”

Lost in sorrow, the little fox murmured, “Husband...”

“Good girl, wife.”

“Huh???”

There was a fox on Mount Tu. Its name was Qi, it had nine tails, and it was adorably silly.

There was a snake on Mount Ba. Its name was Mo, it had a human body and a serpent’s tail, and it was cool as jade.

Many years later,

A certain nine-tailed little fox: Hmph! Cool as jade, my foot. He’s just a lecher!
