When the final tide of destruction sweeps over the world, Su Kai Xuan and his comrades charge into battle one after another, using their lives as kindling to ignite the fire of protection. Through blood and fire, Su Yun Che witnesses his father's heroic sacrifice and touches the love and sense of duty hidden beneath that silent figure. A mysterious blank diary, a cloak steeped in his father's presence, and a broken weapon are all that remain to him.
Should he obey his father's cold final command to survive and eke out an existence in the wasteland? Or should he take up that heavy broken blade, inherit the Silent Walkers' vow of silence, and seek new hope amid despair?
