One day

The first-love guy moved closer to Shu Li and asked through gritted teeth, “I can’t drive you?”

Shu Li edged back, her eyes darting around. “He’s a pretty good driver.”

“I know the roads better,” said the love-at-first-sight guy.

“You don’t trust the navigation?” the first-love guy asked.

“Navigation isn’t always reliable,” Shu Li murmured in reply.

“So he’s reliable? You think I’m a bad driver?” The first-love guy laughed in anger.

One time

“What are you two talking about so secretively?” the younger guy asked.

“Why would I tell you, only for you to report it to your brother so he can cut in on me?” said the love-at-first-sight guy.

“It was only that one time!” the younger guy protested.

“I’ve only seen her twice, and you cut in once. You think that isn’t enough?!” the love-at-first-sight guy snapped.

One night

The younger brother knelt down, took Shu Li’s hand, and gently rested his cheek against it.

His eyes fixed on her, glistening with tears. “Sis, will you pet me?”
