My Sunflower's Sunflower

(Japanese light novel + relaxed daily life + no System + swords, magic, and modern technology + female lead + not a power fantasy) “Where… do you want to go?” “I… want to visit Floating Island No. 108. I heard the sunrise there is beautiful.”

She giggled.

“Hasn’t anyone told you it was abandoned ages ago?” “So what? We can fix it up and live there together.”

Her cheeks flushed red.

“Idiot… But you have to promise me.” “Mm. I promise.”

To keep that promise from becoming an oath, Bai Youzhen worked day and night, finally building a fairytale castle there.

Until that day.

“Could you promise me again?” “Don’t worry… Leave it to me.”

The blue-haired girl made her promise. She went to the front lines to fight the dark beasts and void beasts formed from the souls of the dead. When a miracle favored her once again, she returned alive.

“You really… kept your promise.” “…”

Speaking sweetly and eating blue cake she could never taste, the girl blinked her blue eyes and quietly sobbed.

To keep fighting the dark beasts that continued to appear, she abandoned everything, even the people around her and the precious memories in her mind, including that promise.

“Promise me.” “…”

“You have to stay alive.” “…”

Holding the dragon sword “Shiyu Xiaomeng,” she stood straight in the candlelight of the setting sun.

After giving him a sweet smile, she transformed into a dragon and flew into the distance.

She paid no heed to the young man lying unconscious in his hospital bed.

And so the girl decided to die.
