The Star Lord of Fate adapted a mortal romance novel into an immortal maiden's tribulation, provoking everyone's outrage. As punishment, he was cast into the Pool of Reincarnation, his memories sealed, and ordered to fulfill the lingering wishes of a fragmentary soul.
The Pool of Reincarnation connects the Heavenly River and the River of the Underworld. Ordinary souls cannot enter it. Those who struggle inside cannot escape, and their souls will be scattered. The lingering wishes of souls who enter the pool and still cannot let go turn into stubborn stones at its bottom, leaving no trace behind.
Shi Jiu was a stubborn stone that had gained a spirit. As soon as he took human form, he was appointed the new Star Lord of Fate. Unfortunately, he had no sense of romance and no memories of his past. All he could do was follow mortal romance novels and imitate what he read. Lacking common sense and experience, he made a complete mess of the immortal maiden's mortal tribulation, and naturally ended up having to experience life for himself!
