Beneath the heavens, a light of redemption shines. It saves those in dire straits, then returns them to the hidden path.
A glimmer of compassion flashed in his eyes. Then he thought, "These wounded people may have blindly followed their sect's orders without considering the consequences of their actions. And these villagers were just living ordinary lives, yet they suffered this disaster through no fault of their own."
Long Sheng sighed softly, and a resolute conviction welled up in his heart once more. "So be it. Since I've come across this, I can't stand by and do nothing. I'll make them understand that power isn't meant for fighting and destruction. It's meant to protect and create."
With that thought, he spoke slowly: "If your heart has something to strive for, why fear a long and difficult road? I am an extremely passive person, and I greatly enjoy solitude. My feelings for myself run very deep, and I keep them tightly restrained. I never do anything out of character. So when someone takes the initiative to do something for me, no matter how small, it moves me for a long time, because almost no one ever thinks of me on their own. Perhaps it's because I've always been strong-willed and taken good care of myself. So I became the sole keeper of old ways on a lonely mountain, and my nostalgia became a part of me, etched deep in my bones. I have never seen the light in this world, nor have I ever expected to. That's why I wrote my own epitaph long before I died. With the Dao but no technique, you can still seek it later. With technique but no Dao, you are limited to technique. The Great Dao has no form. Don't make me stir up my thoughts. So don't bully me, one of the Three Sufferers, because when my energy field reaches absolute purity, my power will be at its strongest."
