Basketball: Starting with a Variety Show, I Play My Way Through the World's Basketball Scene!

Wang Xiang is a talented young basketball player who came to the United States to work under the table and pay for his mother’s medical treatment. Starting as a rookie, he works his way up to become the king of the Los Angeles Sunset Court. In the summer of 2019, Li Tao, producer of the basketball variety show So You Think You Can Dunk, happened to discover this uncut gem. “Young man, there’s a basketball variety show in China that wants to invite you.” “Forget it! Don’t get in the way of me making money!” “You’ll be paid 300,000 yuan to join the show.” “Uncle, when does the plane leave…?” From then on, China’s basketball scene had an all-around superstar point guard. The head coach of the Chinese men’s basketball team: “With Wang Xiang on the team, I’m confident we can win gold at the Olympics this time!” Internet-famous player Zhou Kaiheng: “Wang Xiang? He’s my bro! He’s my only connection in the NBA!” Japan: “Good grief! Why did a freak like Wang Xiang have to show up just as our basketball was about to rise?” Yuki Kawamura: “Weren’t we supposed to agree that I was Asia’s number-one point guard? Wang Xiang, give me back my title!” Curry: “Be honest, kid. Did you steal my skill set?” Kevin Durant: “After facing you, even the scythe in my hands has gone dull!” LeBron James: “Come to the Lakers! I’ll give you the ball. I can play off-ball, actually…”
