The Nine-Spirit Disciple Must Change His Name

A slow-burn story, not a traditional fanfic, and the plot doesn't revolve around the main cast! Gods and a divine realm exist, but the story doesn't involve the legends of the divine realm!

Warning: many original characters and original pairings! A fanfic based on Mu Fengchun's manhua version of Douluo Dalu! Also features Nine Spirits from the mobile game Justice Online!

Ye Hanjue is a free-spirited Nine Spirits. He was kicked out of Medicine King Valley for being too free-spirited... Seriously, how can anyone be this free?

Ye Hanjue, free-spirited to a fault, blinked and found himself happily (not!) clutching his soul lamp in a new world.

This world is way too new!!

The Nine Spirit despairs, the Nine Spirit roars, the Nine Spirit accepts reality, and the Nine Spirit strictly follows the Nine Spirit's code of conduct, becoming a free, unrestrained Nine Spirit belonging to himself... right?

The all-you-can-eat restaurant at the academy gates has reopened, with two signs out front: “Ye Hanjue and Mu Liuzhuo are not allowed inside” and “Pet-friendly restaurant.”

Ye Hanjue and Mu Liuzhuo crouch outside the restaurant in the middle of the night, staring at the signs. During that time, Ye Hanjue stops Mu Liuzhuo from doing all sorts of things, including but not limited to drawing his sword to shave off the roof, chopping down the tree outside the restaurant, and stealing the signs.

In the end, Ye Hanjue decides to take Mu Liuzhuo under the cover of night to another all-you-can-eat restaurant two blocks away.

Later, another all-you-can-eat restaurant posts a notice: “No lantern-wielding pretty boys or sword-carrying shorties allowed (portraits attached).”

Word has it that on a dark and windy night, the notice board of some unknown restaurant was slashed up. The perpetrator, whose identity was not disclosed, left a message: “I'm not short! And I'm not wearing purple!”

Mu Liuzhuo glances sideways.

Ye Hanjue says proudly, “I was wearing purple-blue that day!”

“If you think you're a qualified Nine Spirit, then you are.”

“If you think you're a qualified Soul Master, then you are.”
