The girl sinking beneath the sea felt the water close around her throat, yet she felt an incredible warmth.
When she opened her eyes again, her legs had turned into a fish tail.
A sharp pain throbbed in her head, and her memories gradually returned.
As a deity, she was the embodiment of this world’s oceans, its guardian.
Through the long river of time, she had slept beneath the sea.
Then, suddenly, another deity came to the world.
She awoke from her slumber. When she realized the deity meant no harm, the two became friends.
During one of their conversations, the deity told Shangguan Yue that “a god should care for their people and experience the many facets of life.”
Persuaded by the deity, Shangguan Yue went with them to other worlds to “undergo tribulations.”
But in a world without a god, the world’s consciousness was soon replaced by something else, and a once peaceful, beautiful world gradually descended into bloodshed.
The power of the ocean also began to slip out of control.
(This story has a lot of OOC moments, and I also borrowed some ideas from the Barbie mermaid movie. Please don’t hate on it if that’s not your thing.)
