My mother was the most beautiful woman in the capital, but Gu Yuanchen took her as his concubine.
Her good fortune did not last. The First Madam grew jealous of my mother's beauty.
She poisoned the face cream, leaving my mother disfigured.
After my mother fell out of favor, the household steward assaulted her. In the end, the First Madam branded her unchaste and drove her to her death.
I was only seven then, but I have never forgotten what I saw.
Later, I entered the palace and used every wile at my disposal to become the emperor's most beloved woman.
I swore to make every member of the Gu family die without a grave, and avenge my mother!
