The Princess's Story

Female-led fantasy palace intrigue, about an unfavored princess outwitting a favored consort. [1v1, a kind princess with a sharp edge, and a mature, steady future ruler]

I was the daughter of a teacher. I never expected that, after coming of age, I would move into the imperial palace of the Yao Kingdom and become the Sixth Princess. Well, I had only wanted to be a proper princess and live a quiet, steady life.

But then I accidentally heard news about my mother and discovered that she hadn't died in childbirth. Her death had been part of a plot!

When I looked into it, I found that the culprit seemed to be Consort Yi, who had enjoyed the emperor's favor for years. And she had been my mother's close friend before either of them married!

What should I do? Should I keep investigating? What kind of earth-shaking upheaval will follow if I do?
