The Scheming Prince Is Too Repressed

Wei Che tried to pass me by, but I clung tightly to his hand.

"Your Highness, His Majesty granted our marriage. The betrothal gifts have long been exchanged, and our marriage was agreed upon. How can you just call it off?"

Now, I could only persuade Wei Che to willingly go through the wedding ceremony with me.

"Your Highness, His Majesty arranged our marriage. If you disobey, you'll be defying his decree. If you want to break off the engagement, you need a good reason, don't you?"

"Could it be that you don't like me? Since ancient times, marriages have been arranged by parents and matchmakers, and in our case, it's His Majesty's command."

"Or are you going to say I don't want to marry you? But I fell for you at first sight, Your Highness, and I very much want to marry you. Besides, you just saved me. We've already been intimate."

Wei Che raised a hand and pressed it to my lips, stopping me from speaking.

"I remember you were always crying as a child. Now that you've grown up, you can sweet-talk people and scold them, and you've got a pile of arguments ready. What a shame such a lovely girl has a mouth. I don't like women who talk too much."

I blinked and nodded obsequiously.

Wei Che took the opportunity to grip the back of my neck and leaned close to whisper in my ear:

"I gave you a chance. You're the one who insisted on throwing yourself at me. Don't come crying and begging me to stop tonight."

But to my ears, those words had a different kind of charm.

"Why are you hesitating, Your Highness? Could it be... that you want me to take the initiative? Well, I suppose I could."

Wei Che quickly covered my mouth, glanced around instinctively, then glared at me.

"Su Wanqing, what nonsense are you talking about? Didn't anyone teach you the Women's Admonitions and Women's Virtues? Have you no shame?"
