On Their Wedding Day, the Mad Puppy Claimed Her by Force

Rivals competing for her + obsessive love + winning her back + mending a broken relationship + bittersweet angst + a touch of “training the dog” romance After years of being proper and well-mannered, Ning Yu discovered that her fiancé had broken his promise and secretly kept a mistress. Her father’s dying wish, her stepmother’s teachings, her brother’s advice: everyone wanted her to uphold the engagement. Only when her dream shattered did she learn that she was nothing more than a pawn for her family’s prosperity, someone no one had ever firmly chosen. Until Shiliu came along. Ning Yu thought she’d raised herself a puppy. She never expected him to be a rabid dog! She was always hot and cold toward him, gladly accepting his kindness but refusing to forgive him for leaving her, even for a short time. She tricked Pei Siheng into leaving, thinking her plan had worked. But on the day she was to marry her fiancé, Pei Siheng arrived, weathered by the elements, and forcibly took her away. “Miss, you tricked me. This time, I won’t go soft and let you leave.” During the months Pei Siheng held Ning Yu captive in his private residence, he caught her every time she tried to escape. Pei Siheng tormented her body and mind, forcing her to give in. He used hallucinogenic incense to alter her memories. By a twist of fate, Ning Yu regained her memories and discovered his true nature. Ning Yu endured it all, finally managing to escape him during their outing on the Qixi Festival by pretending to fall into the water. She left without hesitation, thinking she would soon forget him. Yet night after night, she tossed and turned, unable to sleep unless she clutched the outer robe he used to wear. Years later, Pei Siheng appeared again. He set aside all his obsessions and knelt at Ning Yu’s feet, pleading: “Miss, don’t push me away. Let me come back and be your dog.” Ning Yu suddenly realized that while she had been taming the puppy, the puppy had been taming her too.
