Chronicles of the Eight Sufferings Temple

[Legendary Tale + No Romance + Martial World + Folk Tales] South of Qingyuan Town stands a towering mountain called Cuiluan. At its foot sits a temple known as Eight Sorrows, which has stood for more than a century. Three monks live in Eight Sorrows Temple: the abbot, Dharma name Yindeng; the senior monk Qimang; and the young monk Fugui. Qimang is a reclusive eminent monk who undergoes a tribulation every sixty-six years. When it comes, his seven orifices cease to function, his five senses grow numb, and all seven orifices go blind, though his heart remains clear. For two hundred years, he has neither aged nor died, and is neither immortal nor demon. The world knows him only as Qimang, but not where the name came from. The Buddha spoke of life's eight sufferings, but in this vast world, there are far more than eight. A hundred years of life, bound by a single thought. In this world, it is always easier to guide others than to save yourself. Robed in his kasaya, he bears Qimang's eight sufferings and scrapes by in this world, all so he won't betray the trust placed in him...
