Journey to the West: A Catastrophic Start, I Stand Against the Pilgrimage

[Decisive and ruthless] [System] [Golden finger] [Invincible]

Chen Yu transmigrated into the world of Journey to the West and became the son of the Jing River Dragon King, who was supposed to block the pilgrimage party at Black River.

He thought that if he followed the plot and completed his task of stopping the pilgrims, he would earn a reward from the Heavenly Court, receive a minor official post, and enjoy a carefree life as an immortal without a care or a worry.

Who could have known that the pilgrimage would change? The Saints wanted to use Journey to the West to resolve a calamity threatening the immortals, and planned to sacrifice every demon along the pilgrimage route.

Fortunately, Chen Yu awakened a god-tier Side Effect System.

It let him choose specific people to suffer the side effects caused by his pills and martial arts techniques.

What? This Innate Demon God Disintegration Art can rapidly increase someone’s strength, but using it randomly cripples parts of their body or even makes them explode?

Learn it! He had to learn it!

Chen Yu merely circulated the art, and all his enemies inexplicably exploded!

What? The Withering and Flourishing Divine Art can multiply my immortal power, but it drastically reduces my lifespan?

Chen Yu circulated the art again, and some great demon dropped dead on the spot.

From then on, he began collecting all kinds of things with side effects!

Years later, when the pilgrimage party arrived, Chen Yu slapped Zhu Bajie flying and knocked Sun Wukong down with two punches.

Sun Wukong called for the immortals of the Heavenly Court.

When Chen Yu unleashed the Heaven-and-Earth Annihilation True Art, the Heavenly Court’s experts all laughed. “This art is certainly powerful, but once you stop practicing, you’ll die along with it!”

But in the next instant, the Heavenly Court’s experts’ faces changed. They burst like fireworks.
