The Journey Home Beneath the Firmament

In the ancient war of the gods, Xing Tian, god of gods, was betrayed by his brother Qing He and ambushed by Yan Rong's army, who trapped him on Changyang Mountain.

"Xing Tian, your cause is lost. Surrender to the Great Emperor, and perhaps he'll spare your life!" Qing He had finally gotten his way, and could not hide the wanton madness in his eyes.

Atop Changyang Mountain, Xing Tian could not be bothered to spare Qing He so much as a glance. He looked upon the divine realm one last time, then met his death with courage. After ten thousand years of cultivation, he had ultimately returned to the cycle of reincarnation.

The setting sun ran red as blood. Watching the mighty figure of old meet such a wretched end, the gods felt pity, excitement...

"Congratulations, Great Emperor, on unifying the divine realm!" Qing He shouted.

But Yan Rong's eyes were dark with worry. His gaze turned toward the endless sky: Xing Tian's natal artifact, "Vault of Heaven," was carrying a drop of his blood essence and a wisp of his divine consciousness as it tore through the void toward the east.

"Rest assured, Great Emperor. He won't cause any trouble!" Qing He said ingratiatingly. He knew what Yan Rong was worried about.

"Find him! Kill without mercy!" After issuing his first imperial decree, Yan Rong tore through space and departed.
