The Ailing Detective Investigates the Truth

[Supernatural + Siblings + Dual Protagonists + Ghosts and Monsters + Team Battles + Exploration + School]

A frail young woman in a school uniform stumbles along a street paved with bones. Fear shows in her eyes as the horrifying remains around her overwhelm her.

A horde of ghosts and monsters bursts out of the ground, drawn by the delicious prey. They appear and begin tugging at her clothes and caressing her delicate skin, smearing blood and grime all over her.

The girl can only moan helplessly, until a long, snake-like tongue emerges from thin air, unable to resist the taste of her. But she grabs it in one swift motion.

“Got you!”

A terrifying aura instantly wipes out the ghosts throughout the entire street. The girl suddenly yanks with all her might, tearing the tongue out by the root.

The horrifying vision vanishes, leaving only a white snake writhing on the ground, its tongue gone.

Chen Youran: “Bro, look! I exorcised a spirit!”

Chen Guyu: “Nice work. That old snake ghost finally couldn’t hold back. We almost got to school late today.”

Just after dawn, the younger sister changes clothes and stuffs the ghost into her backpack. The two hurry back to school by bus, but then the bus’s announcement sounds

“Next stop: Pure Land of Bliss.”
