My Daughter Is a Young Opera Lead

Lu Yue, a nine-year-old third grader, stands out in her Yue opera club thanks to her naturally beautiful voice. Lively and spirited, she rediscovers joy and confidence as she learns, sings, and performs opera. Before the Little Orchid children’s opera competition, obstacle after obstacle threatens to derail her, until her father, Lu Zijing, suddenly springs into action and submits all the entry materials just before the deadline.

At the semifinals, Lu Yue, who had been placed in the third tier after an accidental mistake in the preliminaries, gives an outstanding performance and wins a Little Golden Orchid, first prize. But her ranking isn’t high enough to qualify for the provincial competition. Determined to work hard for a year, she vows to compete for a Little Golden Osmanthus next year.
