Our homeland and our love for it deserve our gratitude, just as our parents do. Our parents gave us life, while the land of our hometown nourished us as we grew. It is also the distant home that those who leave never stop longing for, a place to set down their souls, and a shelter from the storm for the elders and neighbors who watch over their home. The world is about men and women, rich and poor, good and bad. Otherwise, as the saying goes, “The world is at peace, but writers find trouble for themselves.” Writers either make something out of nothing, expose society’s wounds, gossip about people’s affairs, or boast of their own talents. That is all.
