Main characters: aloof, prickly young wolf of an assassin with a twisted fate, Shutu × warm, cheerful rich kid and big puppy-dog type Sheng Sigui

Sigui’s perspective: I just happened to sit down next to the boy, and he casually gave me hundreds of thousands. Kid, you can’t accept gifts you haven’t earned… Wait, he’s actually pretty cute.
Shutu’s perspective: I didn’t want the extra money, so I gave it to the person closest to me. What? He doesn’t want it? Isn’t greed just human nature? Man, you’ve successfully caught my attention.
A young assassin bears the burden of his mother’s murder and lives only for revenge. His path is lonely. He is a wolf who walks alone, until he meets the gentle, steadfast Sheng Sigui.
Sheng Sigui is a ray of light shining on Shutu’s barren land. Once Shutu has felt the sun, he can never endure the darkness again.
Shutu: “Well, Shutu, as in the ‘different paths’ of ‘humans and ghosts follow different paths.’”
Shutu: “You’re human, I’m a ghost. Human and ghost, different paths.” He deliberately paused between the words.
Sheng Sigui only smiled. “You’ve got it wrong. It’s Shutu, as in ‘different paths lead to the same destination,’ and Sigui, as in ‘returning home.’”
Shutu fell silent for a moment. Then he stopped arguing and simply smiled.
