I’d just finished a blind date when I ran into my first love outside a coffee shop.
I never imagined something so melodramatic would happen to me: my first love was about to become my future brother-in-law.
We hadn’t seen each other in three years. He was still the same as ever, while I was already a complete mess.
I was glad he knew nothing. I was glad he was still as wonderful as he’d been three years ago. I thought we could preserve the sweetest memories of that relationship, and at least keep our dignity when we looked back on it.
Unfortunately, he didn’t see it that way.
He kept pressing me, leaving me nowhere to retreat.
If he was so determined to know the truth about what happened back then, then he could see it.
I tore open every bloodied scar with my own hands and exposed them to him.
Fu Yanci, I loved you with all my heart, and I have never had anything to reproach myself for. But can you really bear the truth?
As the rain poured down, I watched him beg desperately in the storm. But Fu Yanci, there’s no going back.
All I hope for in the years to come is that we never meet again.
I read it in one sitting, the emotions are delicate and the writing is smooth. Of course, some of the plot is stomach-churning, but it's still an excellent article.
