What Did We Lose in the Name of Love?

Lan Bai loved Jin Linzhi with all his heart, so much that he couldn’t escape it.

Because he loved Jin Linzhi, Lan Bai lost his family, his friends, and his dignity, until there was nothing left to lose.

In public, people called Jin Linzhi “Master Jin.” In private, he was a fool who loved only Lan Bai. Even after seeing Lan Bai with other men time and again, he still loved him.

“You’re being naughty again.”

Jin Linzhi held back the pain in his heart and gently embraced Lan Bai, once again saying words that should never have come from his lips.

Faced with Jin Linzhi’s seemingly reproachful words, Lan Bai could only laugh softly, because Jin Linzhi had taught him to be this way.

“I was just bored. I was only having a little fun.”

Time and again, Lan Bai gave the same answer.

At last, Jin Linzhi realized that he could never make up for the hurt he had caused Lan Bai. The only thing he could do was tell him “I love you” and “I’m sorry” at the end of his life.

Much later, Jin Linzhi became a thorn in Lan Bai’s heart. No one could touch it or disturb it, except Lan Bai himself.

If they could start over, would they want to meet each other again? Lan Bai didn’t know, and neither did Jin Linzhi.
