Xiao Chuhe first met the newcomer Lin Zhiyi on a variety show.

Nervous about being paired with a senior, Lin Zhiyi accidentally splashed water all over him during a game.

They thought they'd never cross paths again, but at the New Year's Eve gala backstage the following year, they met again. From then on, someone gradually found their way into the other's life.

Because of the restrictions that came with being entertainers, they both chose to keep their feelings buried.

Then, during the group photo at the end of an event, they were jostling for position in the crowd when Xiao Chuhe's left hand accidentally brushed Lin Zhiyi's right.

Lin Zhiyi's hand was a little cold. The instant they touched, Xiao Chuhe jumped in surprise.

But the next second, Lin Zhiyi curled his fingers around Xiao Chuhe's and held on.

Worried that going public with their relationship would damage Lin Zhiyi's career and reputation, Xiao Chuhe turned him down twice.

What he didn't know was that the harder you try to hide something, the less likely it is to go as planned.

Love is no different.

Another year came around, and the two of them appeared together on a cohabitation reality show.

During a game of Truth or Dare, they drew the task of imitating an onscreen couple.

Lin Zhiyi: "You clearly like me, so why won't you admit it, big brother?"

Xiao Chuhe: "All right, I'll admit it. I do like you."

Their CP fans went wild. Watching the two of them closely, their eyes were full of affection, and neither seemed to be acting. It couldn't have looked more real.

Overnight, the CP supertopic's followers surged, and the numbers just kept climbing.
