Great Song: I'm Liu Ling, a Truly Loyal Minister

Late Northern Song + transmigration + no System + passionate battles + monk + warlord separatism

In the fourth year of the Xuanhe era, at Minzhong Temple in Yanjing. The moment Liu Ling transmigrates, he gets a severance package. A Jin executioner’s blade hangs over his neck, while the Great Song abandons its people like dogs.

He tears off his monk’s robe and laughs aloud: “In this chaotic age, if Buddha won’t save us, I will!”

He uses Zhao’s court’s tribute payments to forge armor and Tong Guan’s victory reports to train his troops.

When Bianliang falls, he mounts the platform atop the imperial blood edict of the Song emperor: “I will save the Han people’s realm!”

Yue Fei’s spear knocks down the Jin wolf banner, while Han Shizhong’s warships crush the Western Xia royal city.

Petitions urging him to take the throne flutter like snowflakes above Bianjing’s walls, yet he helps the tearful Zhao Ji to his feet: “Your servant swears to defend the Great Song to the death!”

Only when the Grand Protectorate’s banners blot out the sun and the king of Goryeo crawls forward to present his seal do people finally realize: this man, who claims to be the Great Song’s most loyal subject, is a fierce dragon forged in blood and battle. He has already ground the ninefold palace into a stairway to heaven!
