January 1, 2024: [Humanity’s Great Awakening].
Overnight, people around the world underwent physical and mental changes of varying degrees. Some grew dramatically taller, some developed sharper senses, and some crushed steel bars with their bare hands in front of livestream cameras. The [Will of the Nation] in each country awoke from a long slumber, weak but clear-minded: the invasion from beyond the world was counting down.
Unable to fight alone, these wills sacrificed part of their origins to beings of a higher dimension in exchange for the rules of a dimensional war: each side would choose a ruined planet once home to an advanced civilization as the battlefield. The winner would receive a blessing from the higher dimension, while the loser would suffer an unknown loss.
An alliance of alien species broke through the universe’s cellular membrane, and several beings known as “Alien Gods” descended upon Blue Star. They were merely a core force of an extraterrestrial civilization, nowhere near supreme. But at that moment, humanity was barely capable of fighting them at all.
Daxia was special because its [Will of the Nation], having existed for so long, had ascended to become the [Ancestor of the Nation]. On the night of the Great Awakening, the world sank into a brief state of collective unconsciousness. Before countless newly awakened old-timers could react, one old-looking boy had already risen to his feet.
