I’m the Poisonous Strategist, a Living Yama, Yet the Empress Begs Me to Calm Down

Shen Chen transmigrates to the Great Wu Empire and awakens the Poison Strategist System at a moment of crisis.

The Empress: “Locusts are everywhere, the people are suffering, and rebellion is on the verge of breaking out. What should we do?”

Shen Chen: “Persuade the ministers to lead by example and eat locusts. Turn them into the nation’s number-one banquet dish, spark a locust craze, then sell them at high prices to the wealthy merchants. Trick those troublemaking commoners into catching and eating them. The locusts will be wiped out, the plague will be solved, and the treasury will be replenished!”

The Empress: “You’ve conned me into eating locusts every day while you secretly feast on delicacies and count your silver...”

The Empress: “The chancellor and the others are pushing too far. They want to expose the fact that I’m a woman and seize my throne. How should I respond?”

Shen Chen: “I’ve heard the chancellor and the other ministers all have exceptionally beautiful daughters. Your Majesty should bring them into your harem, then I’ll find a way to get them pregnant with royal heirs. The rumors will collapse on their own.”

The Empress: “You rascal, you’re even putting me in your harem!”

The Empress: “The Great Meng Empire plans to exploit the plague among our frontier troops, march south, and annex the Great Wu Empire. What should I do?”

Shen Chen: “The Great Meng Empire is recruiting soldiers. Have our troops infect themselves with a deadly plague, then enlist and spread it through the enemy army...”

The Empress: “The Great Qin and the other nations are going to attack the Great Wu Empire...”

Shen Chen: “Your Majesty, I have a plan...”

The Empress’s face changed dramatically. She hurriedly waved him down.

“Beloved subject, calm down. Sit first. It hasn’t come to that yet...”

Shen Chen: “Your Majesty, Shen Chen has another plan...”

The Empress nearly fell to her knees. Wiping the cold sweat from her forehead, she said:

“What sin did I commit to bring this living devil into my life!”
