The Fifth Book by Niu Xuduo

[First person] [Mostly tomb raiding] [Mostly folk customs] [Scheming, teasing Zhang Xiaoge]

I never imagined I was born into a family of tomb raiders.

But this family is a little different: for a thousand years, we haven't laid hands on a single grave good.

They say our Ye family is destined to produce a lucky koi within a thousand years, and I'm that lucky fish.

Five years ago, my childhood friend Pangzi and I stumbled into the tomb of the Chu Wu King.

Inside the ancient tomb, a weasel personally fed me a jade pendant.

That pendant turned out to be the key to opening the coffin of the Shaman High Priest.

Most importantly, I found myself dancing gracefully in the tomb while dressed in bizarre clothes.

Of course, none of that was scary. What was scary was that some guy was staring at me, mesmerized, from a dark corner.

After that, he stopped appearing and disappearing like a dragon, and instead stuck to me like gum on my backside.

“This nana's latched onto me. What do I do? Could I get nana-ed to death?”
