A modern special forces medic transmigrates, only to get beaten up right away? She’s being beaten because she’s being forced into marriage? So what if you’re the Crown Prince? Don’t mess with me. Mu Wanyi drags her bloodstained gown behind her and declares boldly, "I’ll marry him!" But it’s easy to invite someone in and hard to send them away. If you’re shoving me into a pit of fire, you’d better pay me something for standing in as the bride, right?
Mu Wanyi carries her treasure chest off to her wedding, only to find herself facing a wedding ceremony with no groom. She calmly takes the prince’s show of dominance, but to her surprise, he enters the bridal chamber.
The assassins arrive out of nowhere. Mu Wanyi looks at the knife at her throat, then at Baili Han across from her, wielding a short sword with fearless swagger. The prince isn’t crippled after all. Having stumbled upon his secret, she silently grumbles. Looks like she’ll have to save herself.
From then on, Baili Han, the emperor’s thorn in his side and a former God of War now pretending to be crippled, is bound to the modern doctor who can’t escape the struggle for power. Through shared hardships, they come to admire each other and fall in love. Together, they join forces to claim the realm.
I love you, so I’ll help you rise to the highest position and look down upon this vast land. But if you dare betray me, I’ll make this picturesque realm a place of countless bones.
