The War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea: four familiar words.
But when you think about it, beyond knowing the basics about the People's Volunteer Army and MacArthur...
there doesn't seem to be much else we know, or can easily remember.
In elementary school, we read "Who Are the Loveliest People?", about the heroic soldiers of the People's Volunteer Army...
Few would imagine that this nonfiction report is about the 3rd Company, 1st Battalion, 335th Regiment, 112th Division of the 38th Army, the "Army of Ten Thousand Victories,"
and the Battle of Songgufeng, a blockade so earth-shaking and soul-stirring that it seemed to move the heavens and make ghosts weep!
What kind of history was that, exactly?
It dragged on intermittently for two years.
The War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea lasted two years and nine months.
There was so much that could be written, so much that deserved to be written,
but with one battle here and one figure there,
and unreliable information all over the internet,
a science student's stubborn determination to get the facts straight was stirred.
So I decided to put it all in order.
I found myself deeply fascinated by that period of history.
Every night, I dreamed of artillery fire and bugles sounding the charge...
So I decided to turn it into a novel!
This should be the most rigorous, systematic, and detailed work of literature on the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea available in China today.
More rigorous and coherent than works by literary authors, and more vivid and comprehensive than military histories.
For six months, I felt as though I were on that battlefield, engulfed in artillery fire, one of the 2.4 million soldiers of the People's Volunteer Army, fighting alongside 27 heroic armies and taking on MacArthur, Ridgway, and the 2.83 million troops of the 16-nation United Nations forces. We fought the whole war all over again!
The War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea was the battle that founded our nation. Viewed across a thousand years, it halted China's decline, which had begun with the An Lushan Rebellion 1,200 years ago. In our darkest and most desperate hour, we staged a stunning comeback against all odds!
From then on, China rose like the sun in the east!
It relatively objectively describes the scenes of the upper, middle and lower levels of the Korean War. Although there is less emotional content, you can read the entire process of the war from the perspective of reportage. It is a good book.
Detailed history, this war was the pinnacle of the firearms age! Modern warfare has entered the air and space age. I hope we will become stronger! Our principle is not to fire the first shot, but when we fight back in self-defense, we will hit you hard!
Such a good book has no one to rate it. The indirect details of the book are summarized very well. The Chinese people grew up in blood and fire. Today's New China was built with hardships and huge sacrifices. Pay tribute to the ancestors!
Wonderful, the ultimate battle in the history of human army
The 50 Juntian Wenfu written in Chapter 10 is from Yucheng District, Ya'an City, Sichuan Province. It's not from Yunnan Province, please correct it.
Today's hard-won happy life was earned by the older generation with their lives and blood. High salute to them!
