[Mystery + single heroine + supernatural + exploration + sequence traits + apocalypse + not a power fantasy]
In the year 2200, a fog swept in from the North Pole, shrouding ninety percent of the planet. The year was later known as the First Year of the Fog.
That same year, a terrifying game descended upon the planet, and every adult who had turned eighteen was chosen to take part.
Who is sobbing in the hidden room deep inside the school's fourth building? The immortals of the Bliss Hotel wander endlessly, searching for their lost hearts...
Who is watching from the Peeping Garden in the dead of night? Who is indulging in a brief moment of pleasure amid the wine and women?
Where did the fog come from? And who has been pulling the strings behind thousands of years of cycles?
The defiant push open the blood-red door and fight back, while the despairing step through the black window and sink into oblivion...
Ancient beings deep beneath the earth awaken: gamblers, merchants, gravediggers...
The dark night finally arrives, and human civilization falls into despair, waiting for a savior to appear.
Then Lu Ren arrives, descending into the world of terror with a cheeky narrator by his side.
“People call me the number one player of the horror game, the lone wanderer in the dark, and the sovereign of both the bizarre and humanity!”
“The archenemy of the Blood City and the Silent Sea, the sole landlord of Bliss Apartments, the madman who tugs at the threads of fate... That's all me.”
The schemes of those in power, the perils of the horror game, and the traps laid by human nature are all plain to Lu Ren.
“Another fascinating journey is about to begin. Call me Traveler... Lu Ren.”
It's a good book, with a little foreshadowing in the previous chapter. The world view is very good. The protagonist is well set up and not brainless. It's one of the better new books. However, not many people read it. I hope the author will update it more and don't be disappointed.
The narration is a bit like the narration in a doomsday jigsaw puzzle game
Damn it, I really feel it
The first one is a bit similar to a Korean comic I watched.
