[The protagonist of this story undergoes both a gender change and a mutation]
The 1940s were meant to be an age of great technological prosperity. Artificial intelligence had advanced tremendously, and with AI's help, people's lives ran smoothly. As long as they were willing to work, they were guaranteed a good life.
Most importantly, with the labor force far exceeding demand, the government introduced a major policy: “Work three days a week, rest for four.”
People erupted in cheers, filled with hope for the future.
But would the “future” last forever? Could the life of their dreams really never be shattered?
A violent solar electromagnetic storm struck, followed by the Caldera starquake, hitting Earth.
Streams of charged particles, high-energy rays, and plasma pierced Earth's feeble magnetic field with ease and reached the surface, destroying most electronic devices and living things above a depth of five meters, including nearly 90% of humanity.
Human development was pushed almost all the way back to before the Second Industrial Revolution. The disaster also left extremely deadly ionizing radiation in the atmosphere, as if punishing humanity for its excessive progress and imprisoning it underground.
Fortunately, at the last moment, Earth's magnetic field shielded humanity from most of the ionizing radiation, dramatically shortening what should have been a fifty-year radiation prison.
Before long, radiation levels on the surface would be low enough for people to return, provided they wore protective suits.
But could reality really be as ideal as the theory suggested?
An unknown traveler recorded all of this, from the dead of night until dawn. The entire account is contained in this book.
One lucky survivor who encountered THEM described her as something like... a cat?
It looks pretty good 😄
Hate humans [you taste it carefully]
It's very beautiful. The writing style is the same as when I was in junior high school. I like it very much.
