This book is the first good book in my country that uses Marxist scientific methods to systematically analyze traditional bureaucratic politics. Starting from the analysis of China's social and economic formation, the author combined the history from the Qin and Han Dynasties to the Republic of China to find out the emergence, form and characteristics of bureaucracy, as well as its relationship with the long-term stagnation of feudal society; and from the comparison with Western bureaucracy, he revealed the general laws of the development and transformation of bureaucracy. There are many outstanding original ideas that are still of practical significance today.
