[There is a main couple and a secondary couple. The balance of sweet and angsty scenes is anyone's guess. The timeline jumps around, and the story has a large ensemble cast. If this isn't for you, feel free to skip it. Don't force yourself.]
"Beneath the moon and before the breeze, carefree and at ease. Sing when you're merry, sleep when you're tired."
Yue Mian and Feng Yao are twin sisters. From the moment they were born, they were subjected to secret experiments on an island. Thirteen years later, Yue Mian was thrown off the island, while Feng Yao was kept under control. The sisters never saw each other again.
The experiment on Yue Mian failed, and she was no longer of any use. After being sent to an orphanage, she was adopted by a family. Then she suffered the humiliation of being a substitute. With no memories, she instinctively depended on her new family, but a fake was still a fake. She was nothing but a stand-in. In the end, she died a "peaceful" death.
On Feng Yao's eighteenth birthday, Yue Mian died. When the energy of the experiment grew too powerful for her to withstand, she had already unleashed her strength, blowing up the laboratory and freeing the countless people who had endured the experiments, been rejected, and replaced time and time again, from their experiment pods.
She infused them with the energy she had awakened, redirecting the energy they had been receiving all along and helping them master their abilities. Then they all left the island to learn how to survive in human society, with the goal of killing the people behind the experiments one day.
Feng Yao's abilities are "observation" and "restoration." She can see anything she wants to see, heal any injury, and revive anyone who has been dead for less than three days.
She took control of the island's transport helicopter and quickly found Yue Mian, bringing her back to life. But Yue Mian's consciousness refused to awaken. Feng Yao knew, though, that she wanted those people to pay with a "clear-headed" death.
Well, everyone, I feel like I'm not very good at writing, so I ended it urgently, which means it's unfinished. I'm afraid you'll scold me, so you must think twice before reading it!
