In a Year of War and Famine, I Stockpile Goods in the City to Raise a Future Empress

After a string of setbacks, Zhang Wanhe returned to his hometown, only to discover that his family's ancestral water jar could connect the past and present.

The jar could send all kinds of supplies, including water, food, medicine, and books, to the Great Xia Dynasty a thousand years in the past.

It could also bring back sacrificial gold ingots, paintings, antiques, and all sorts of rare treasures from the Great Xia Dynasty.

It even introduced Zhang Wanhe to Zhou Yunyao, a bold and resourceful princess of the Great Xia Dynasty, and showed him that women, too, could defend their country's borders against foreign invaders!

Moved by admiration, Zhang Wanhe stockpiled goods in the city and supported Zhou Yunyao, helping her become the Great Xia Dynasty's first empress!

“I am willing to share my empire with you. I shall make you emperor and become your empress. Together, we shall be known as the Two Sages. What say you?”

“Would you be willing to share the mortal world with me, choose a city to spend the rest of our lives in, and come a thousand years into the future to marry me?”

Will he go to the Great Xia Dynasty, will she come a thousand years into the future, or will they sever their ties?

What choice will the mutually devoted Zhou Yuyao and Zhang Wanhe make?
