Silk and Splendor Behind Red Gates: The Story of Yushu

Yushu, eldest daughter of the Cheng family of Jinling, travels to the capital to seek refuge with her maternal relatives, a family of high-ranking nobility. The Duke of Qingguo’s mansion is a grand estate of red gates and embroidered halls, with courtyards that seem to go on forever, where lovesick men and resentful women are caught in countless tangled affairs.

An ensemble novel with six couples: five one-on-one pairings and one three-person pairing.

Except for the three-person pairing, all couples are exclusive in body and heart.
