Love Unrecognized: After Turning A, I Was Imprisoned by a Deranged B

[ABO + imprisonment + angsty groveling romance + HE]

Omega Jiang Yan has weak pheromones. By chance, he begins sharing a place with the beta Si Heng.

They agree on three strict rules and promise not to cross the line. But as they spend time together, they fall for each other without realizing it.

Jiang Yan is afraid to confess because of his weak pheromones, while Jin Si Heng refuses to admit his feelings because he intends to use him.

In the end, Jiang Yan is hypnotized into forgetting his love for Si Heng. Jin Si Heng becomes the “executioner” who gets his wish and sends Jiang Yan to someone else.

After Jiang Yan presents as an alpha, he is imprisoned for three years by a mysterious man wearing a clown mask. Three years later, his first love rescues him. He learns that Si Heng was the one who made him present as an alpha, that Si Heng was also the one who imprisoned him for three years, and, worse still, Si Heng’s surname isn’t Si. It’s Jin.

Furious at being deceived for three years, he loses control, picks up a crossbow, and aims it at Jin Siheng.

“Remember? You were the one who taught me how to use this crossbow.”

“So you want to kill me with it?”

With a bloodstained hand, Jin Siheng slowly pulls the arrow from his chest. His bloodshot eyes brim with madness.

“But my heart is on the right side, Yan Yan...”

He opens his hand around the arrow and smiles faintly at Jiang Yan. “Want to try again?”

Early on: Two-faced beast of a seme who toys with the uke like a puppet vs. a timid, helpless uke who gets completely played. Later: A seme who comes to his senses, regrets everything, and grovels to win his love back vs. a ruthless uke who says little and never lets love cloud his judgment.

In short: Two people who don’t realize they’re in love tear each other apart, turning a sweet story about unrequited love into a groveling romance.
