Observing the Heavens

The setting sun bathed Chang’an in its afterglow. This was the city’s entertainment district, where traffic streamed along the streets and people came and went without end. The young women in the pleasure houses were dressed to the nines, their lovely faces exuding charm as they waved colorful silk handkerchiefs and coquettishly winked at passersby. Quite a few men couldn’t resist, their blood rushing as they plunged headlong into these dens of indulgence.

A tumultuous era, a down-and-out scholar, a battered old book, and a legendary tale.

A historical xianxia story. It may start slowly, but I’ll do my best to keep every chapter up to standard. Unless something unexpected happens, there won’t be any missed updates.
