[Period setting + face-slapping and punishing scum + marriage first, love later + raising a child]
Jiang Wenyu has transmigrated into a book, becoming the hapless victim in a period novel.
In the story, Jiang Wenyu’s stepsister refuses her request to switch marriage prospects, schemes to marry a man with a secure government job, and leaves Jiang Wenyu with no choice but to marry a rich playboy she was engaged to as a child.
After they marry, the playboy starts a business, builds it into a success, and becomes a nationally renowned tycoon. Jiang Wenyu becomes a rich wife who rides in luxury cars, lives in a mansion, and enjoys every imaginable comfort.
The man with the secure job resents the stepsister for scheming against him, and retaliates with emotional abuse, ignoring and neglecting her until he eventually has the perfectly healthy stepsister committed to a psychiatric hospital and drives her insane.
After transmigrating into the book, Jiang Wenyu discovers that her stepsister has been reborn and is determined to steal the promising man and take over her life.
Jiang Wenyu just laughs. There’s no need to steal him when she can have him for free.
The playboy uses the money her mother left her to start his business, and the company’s success depends on Jiang Wenyu’s hard work and advice.
Without her, all her stepsister will get is a scheming mother-in-law who pretends to be ill, a sister-in-law with no princess’s fate but plenty of princess syndrome, and a despicable, shameless husband who’s all talk and nothing to show for it.
By a stroke of fate, Jiang Wenyu marries the man with the secure job. She prepares herself for a marriage in which she’ll be left to fend for herself, but the man, cold-hearted and stern though he may seem, dotes on and cherishes her. Once again, she ends up living the life her stepsister envies.
The author is great. He writes the heroine very well, seamlessly, and without any discomfort. Unlike some novels where time travelers dislike the original heroine for this or that, he just doesn't dislike the original heroine's body and money. Tsk! Very fake
The story content is innovative
The novel is nice and refreshing. I liked it.
